The Group of Economic Analysis and Modelling (GAME) begins its journey in 2002 under the coordination of Melchor Fernández Fernández. Attached to Instituto Universitario de Estudos e Desenvolvemento de Galicia (IDEGA), GAME consists of members who belong mostly to the Department of Foundations of Economic Analysis at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Even with a strong commitment to multidisciplinary working closely with experts from relevant public or private organizations for research and technological development.
The Directorate General for Scientific and Technological University System of Galicia has recognized the GAME for its research excellence and for his work group, with the “Programa de Consolidación e Estruturación de Unidades de Investigación Competitivas: Unidades de Transferencia” (2007 to 2010). This program aims to promote collaboration with other competitive groups and improve the creation and dissemination of high-level research.
